From the time I first read SheLoves Magazine, I whispered thank you and held the prayer that one day my words would find their way to that lovely place of sisterhood and hope.
This morning I am honored to say they have.
It would be my joy if you’d join me at SheLoves with my story of serving as a birth companion. I wrote parts of this nearly two years ago in my series on grace, but here I delve deeper into the despair of seeing one I love suffer, recognizing my limitations and bearing witness to the light that comes from darkness.

Chills and tears as I read this poignant account of life; both the beauty and pain entrenched within. It brought me right back to those blessed moments I too saw first breaths.
